WE BELIEVE

Healthy humans make healthy organisations.

We collaborate with our client organisations in the service of delivering and maintaining the workplace health and wellbeing of their staff.

ABOUT US

At CLCS we wish to create psychologically safer, and human-centred environments where people, professionals, organisations and workplace cultures can truly thrive.

We do this by providing bespoke mental health services to organisations and their people. We work directly with leadership, HR, teams, and individual employees, to promote a combination of much better individual and organisational level health. Ultimately we want to see both people and the organisations that they serve, flourishing and thriving together.

The thriving organisation

OUR APPROACH

We're a fundamentally fluid organisation

We create the space for honest conversations to take place that helps to unlock lasting change.

We hold in mind the whole person whilst serving an organisation, thinking systemically about their reality together. At the heart of our work is a belief in hope, even in the most challenging circumstances.

All our therapists are highly trained, and a vast depth of theoretical knowledge and experience underpins our work. We have a highly-respected professional and ethical approach to our own work with the individual client and their employer.

Our bespoke approach constantly changes and adapts to external factors. Ultimately we exist to support the client, this involves consistency in presence, but also an invisibility that enables the client to think and speak for themselves.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Our core services

Therapy

Therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore, understand and process your thoughts, feelings and experiences. It supports recovery from mental health challenges, improves emotional regulation and overall wellbeing; and encourages long-term personal growth and healthier relationships.

Coaching

Coaching offers both personal and professional growth. At a deeper level coaching is about values, identity and purpose, moving beyond behavior and outcomes to greater self awareness and confidence. It can help support HR teams too.

Mediation

Resolves conflicts in a structured and impartial way. The net benefit is often improved relationships and communication between parties, which helps to prevent the escalation of disputes and reduces organisational disruption. This all saves precious time and costs in comparison with formal legal processes

Trauma
intervention

Critical incidents such as exposure to accidents, sudden death or suicide ripple across the entire organisation. We know that providing people with specialist support can make all the difference to recovery and wellbeing.

Training &
workshops

Our workshops combine evidence-based knowledge with practical, experiential activities that bring ideas and learning to life. Participants gain awareness, build confidence, and develop resources that they can use in everyday life and work. Each of our workshops encourages reflection, meaningful conversations, and a deeper understanding.

Leadership
development

Leadership skills and emotional intelligence create healthy, inclusive workplace cultures where people feel valued, supported and able to thrive. This builds trust, strengthens relationships, and brings teams together.

OUR TEAM

We're a team of highly qualified specialists.

Dr Helen Holgate

Managing Director

MEd, PhD, Member BACP and UKPTS

I have worked in a variety of roles which by serendipity have culminated in my role now as MD of CLCS Wellbeing. These roles include time as a founder and leader of a charity, a nurse, a researcher, a foster carer as well as my work as a counsellor, coach, trainer and organisational trauma consultant. These roles have provided me with a breadth and depth of experience which now culminates in my leading CLCS Wellbeing. Being able to draw on all aspects of my experience and training is most fulfilling.

Case Manager

PgDip Psychodynamic Theory & Practice

Since 2018 I’ve worked for CLCS Wellbeing as a Case Manager. I wouldn't describe myself as having a specialism, but I do have an interest in working with anxiety, addictions and relationships. On the case management side I (and the team) are focussed on trauma and the ways in which this can present in a client, and the ways in which a time-limited approach can help someone in this situation. As a therapist I work psycho-dynamically, working typically with affect and defence mechanisms.

Therapist / Executive Coach

PGDip Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling, ADVDip Coaching

My work centres on deep listening, honest connection, and helping people make sense of what sits beneath the surface. I specialise in creating spaces where people feel safe to explore complexity, whether in therapy, leadership, or group settings. What matters to me is choice, and meaningful change that feels owned, not imposed. I’m drawn to the in-between spaces, where insight emerges, and where people begin to live, speak, and lead with greater clarity and integrity.

therapist / Clinical Supervisor

MA Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling

My core training is psychodynamic, which means I work with clients to help them understand how they experience the world and how they respond to challenging situations. I am also a trained EMDR therapist, offering a structured and evidence based way of helping people process distressing or overwhelming experiences that negatively impact their lives. I aim to provide a calm, accepting and non-judgemental space, where difficulties can be explored and experiences processed. This I believe can lead to meaningful and lasting change.

Qualifications

I've been fortunate to work across a range of roles, from senior leadership in corporate finance to leadership consultancy, executive coaching, facilitation and psychotherapy. Each has taught me something different about people, relationships and change. Today, I bring these experiences together to support leaders, teams and individuals to navigate complexity with greater awareness and confidence. Alongside this, I facilitate men's groups, helping men build more authentic and connected relationships. I'm particularly interested in what happens beneath the surface, where power, relationships and self-awareness shape both wellbeing and performance.
